Monarque est de retour avec son troisième album et sans doute son plus abouti à ce jour. Toujours cantonné dans le Black Metal occulte et classique, tout en rendant hommage au mouvement aux débuts du mouvement symphonique ici et là, le groupe brille également par son côté mélancolique et épique qui lui a déjà gagné plusieurs fans dans le monde. Mettant également en scène une reprise furieuse de « Au Seuil des Ténèbres » des précurseurs du Black québécois Frozen Shadows, Lys Noir hantera ceux qui s’aventureront dans son univers lugubre.

Monarque returns with his third full-length and without a doubt his most accomplished to date. Always remaining in the occult and classic side of Black Metal, while paying homage to the early symphonic movement here and there, the band also infuses its very distinctive epic and melancholic side that has earned it many fans worldwide. Featuring as well a raging cover of Québec Black Metal forerunners Frozen Shadows’ “Au Seuil des Ténèbres”, Lys Noir will haunt those who venture into its bleak universe.
